After completing her PhD in Human Nutrition looking at the effects of fats and carbohydrates on health, Janet moved from academia into the food industry. She has over 18 years experience working as a Nutritionist, initially supporting infant and child nutrition for Nestle UK, before moving on to support the wider business as Company Nutritionist. Since 2007 Janet has run her own nutrition consultancy business, working within the wider food industry, retailers, PR agencies and smaller start up businesses offering nutrition support.
Over the course of her career, Janet has delivered nutrition training to a wide variety of audiences including company directors, management teams, customer service teams, marketers and catering teams. She was also involved in a training project on childhood nutrition and food allergies for pharmacists for a large retailer, and in more recent times in developing training modules for EYNP. Early Years nutrition has always been a key focus during Janet's career, and through her family life.
