Giving you confidence, wherever your child spends their day

Children’s early years really matter. What they eat, and the habits they develop around food when they’re young, set the pattern for the rest of their lives. But family life is always something of a juggling act. Even the simplest meals require a bit of time thinking, shopping and chopping. What’s more the need to manage work and family commitments mean that increasingly all children are spending more time in childcare. We understand that as a parent you want to be confident that wherever your child is they are getting the food and help they need to support good health, now and in their future.

The EYN Partnership is working to improve the future health outcomes of young children by setting a standard for nutrition practice in childcare settings. We have a team of nutrition professionals who work side-by-side with nurseries and pre-schools to improve their standards of nutrition across a wide range of criteria. Through an assessment and accreditation process, the nurseries and pre-schools are awarded a Quality Mark at a level that best reflects their commitment to delivering the right foods and experiences to support the health and wellbeing of children in their care - providing you with peace of mind. Find out more about our work with early years settings.

We have collated useful resources from credible sources to help you get nutrition right for your little one when they’re at home – guiding you on what foods to offer, what behaviour to encourage and how best to manage mealtimes as your children grow up. They are full of inspiration!
