Karen moved into nutrition after a career in a variety of executive business and communication support roles, prompted by a personal interest in nutrition and the impact of food availablity in schools for her own children.
Karen's work and research experience has primarily been within primary schools, evaluating school meals provision and supporting health & well-being events, as well as successfully campaigning for the implementation of school meals in her local primary school. Karen is particularly interested in nutrition in education and nutrition policy in schools and early years settings.
Prior to joining EYNP, Karen supported a Health & Well-Being Specialist for a workplace health service.
